4/14/2023 0 Comments Vectric forum nativity lithograph![]() In wood I use Naptha or denatured to show the grain-with Opal you have to wet it, to simulate polishing to 60,000G and buffing-Light In= Light out. Opal is like looking at rough lumber as it's hard to see what's there. Picked up 10Kg of Yowah Nuts back in '98 at Tucson gem show and still working through it. I do almost entirely Yowah,Black Gate, and Koroit Opal-Some Lightning Ridge, but$$$ Wolffie, Cooking in sugar and then throwing the acid to it-is pretty much only used on Andamooka opal to increase contrast(frowned upon but fairly standard for Andamooka).
